Un mese può avere  quattro settimane oppure 28, 30 o 31 giorni. Ogni quattro anni il mese di febbraio ha 29 giorni. 

Un anno ha dodici mesi, 365 giorni e quattro stagioni

When expressing a date, we use cardinal numbers (one, two three…), with the exception of the first of the month when we use il primo [the first]; the definite articles il or l’ precede the day:

               Il compleanno di Anna è l’8 (otto) dicembre                 Anna’s birthday is December 8th
               Partiamo il 1° (primo) marzo                                               We’re leaving March 1st.
